Burly Women Go to Disneyland, September 1957, pt. 2

Back for round 2 with our Burly Women Go to Disneyland series. Here’s a group shot of the gals; you’d think with the cool shiny uniforms that they could at least have found some matching footwear!

Whoever this Jerry guy is, he looks a little nervous in the company of these women. The tall girl in the back row is giving him the stink-eye; how dare a man be in their photo! I think it would be safe to say that none of these ladies spent too much time in the Beauty Salon at the Hotel designated by the sign above.

At least one of these gals has a sense of humor; here’s one having fun in the citrus tree:

According to the bags here, we might have an I.D.; looks like the name of the team is “The Anchorettes,” AND according to the shoulder patch, they are the Metro Champs! Let’s give ’em some hearty applause!

Nope...these ladies never made it to the beauty salon.

Not entirely sure why you're thumping these gals so hard—"Burly women go to Disneyland," "Nope... these ladies never made it to the beauty salon" and "how dare a man be in their photo."

I mean, after all, I can't recall many "Boy, I'll bet few of those flaming queens in Entertainment played football in high school!" captions.

Just sayin'.

Dig how the anonymous commentator leaves his rude little rant. What a grump-ass.

I do love it when some anonymous grump-ass tells you that your opinion is wrong. And sorry grump-ass, but these are "Burly women"...

"flaming queens in Entertainment played football" sounds like some self projection from grump-ass...
