The Viewliner: Up Close!

A rare shot of the short-lived Viewliner attraction (1957-1958) as this beautiful piece of retro transportation pulls into the station.

Let's get a closer look at the cast members:

Although the Monorail is pretty cool and has stood the test of time (so far!), I still love seeing shots of its predecessor.

A thing of beauty. Just about perfect. The cast member looks a bit like a thinner Jonathan Winters.

I just can't get over how tiny that thing was.

It's interesting to see the "Viewliner" emblem on the pilot and the cast members.

Was not a fan of this train - it was was like getting into a hot tin box - the seats were metal and hot to sit down on - we used to take a paper placemat from one of the restaurants to sit on or we would burn the back of our legs in the middle of summer/fall when it was so hot in Anaheim.
