No Place in Tomorrowland For The Past

In 1967, a “New” Tomorrowland was christened; practically a tear-down and burn, the refurbished area featured The PeopleMover, Adventure Thru Inner Space, and The Carousel of Progress. This publicity photo shows a very uncomfortable couple from Space. Although very well integrated into the “Old” Tomorrowland, this couple doesn’t look like they fit in very well anymore. Pictures of them post 1968 are very rare.

The 1971 Disney Classic starring Angela Lansbury has been re-released today on DVD.

How does a person get a photograph from the entrance to Tomorrowland like that, 50 or 60 feet in the air? A crane? A temporary platform?

....A jetpack? Very nice picture though, so much going
on and a very inviting place (unlike now...).
